Meet the newest Overman-Smith

We weren't looking for a dog (or even discussing it!) but Karma found her way into our life and we think she is AMAZING!  She is a 4 month old Tibetan Terrier (TT). NOT a member of the terrier breed but called that because she is similar in size to a terrier.  Only in America since the late 1950's, this breed was originally the companion dog for Buddhist monks in Tibet.  She is a 'medium' sized dog (we don't think she'll get any taller) who likes to follow us wherever we go,  play chase with Keats, and cuddle to our hearts content.  She is our little Buddhist buddy; cool, calm, collected, & observant while she transitioned for the 3rd time in her short life.  We're looking forward to sharing our newest pack member with friends & family....

We came home with 4 quarts of organic blueberries. Unfortunately I didn't get a picture of the  beautiful rainbow that manifest after we were drenched by a sudden downpour. The Jazz Band didn't stick around for photos either. Keats now  believes that we will see rainbows every time we go to pick berries. :)  

Fantasy Draft Night

Papa took part in his first Fantasy Football draft night over Skype with Uncle Rob. Keats had to help Papa prepare draft notes. :)

Our friends Anne, Kevin and Monica took us boating on Lake Champlain. Kevin had Keats do most of the driving, so of course, Kevin is Keats new best friend. :) 

Midwest Roadtrip to Family

The summer of TOO much fun to blog about!

For the past 2 1/2 years it hasn't been difficult to find the time once a month to upload new pictures or events on the blog; however, this summer is different!  We've been busy busy busy traveling out of state, playing with family, making new friends, kayaking, hiking, biking & exploring some of the hidden treasures of Vermont.  Keats schedule is so off that he's been going to bed between 10:30 & 11 and the last thing I want to do at midnight is put photos on the blog - "I'll do it tomorrow morning!"

Below are two of my FAVORITE pictures from the summer.  Keats with his cousins Josh (5 weeks older) and Spencer (9 weeks younger).  I think I may just keep the hundreds of other pictures from the summer and share them when someone asks or visits... too much fun to show/upload and talk about! It has been a wonderful summer though--- we can't believe the plethora of activities that are available! Our latest was a live concert at the Shelburne Farms Children's Farmyard last night that finished with fireworks (Keats called them "funderworks" :). Love to you all, xoxoxoxo MLK
